The Andaman Unveils New Opulent Look for Rooms and Bathrooms

The Andaman, a luxury property managed by General Hotel Management (GHM) Limited, has unveiled a new look for its room interiors and bathrooms. Renovation works to the room interiors commenced in August 2006 and are now complete. The entire refurbishment programme will feature the upgrading of all its 187 deluxe rooms and selected facilities around the hotel and is scheduled to complete in July 2008.

One of the many interesting topics in Rome is about food, and ancient Rome had plenty of mouth watering recipes and traditions, which you will still find in some typical rome restaurants.
At the time there already were 3 meals during the day : ientaculum, prandium and cena. The first two meals were fast and simple and people did not even bother to wash their hands or set a proper table. However the cena (which nowadays means dinner) was held after coming back from the baths and usually took place after 2pm and until the sunrise of the morning after. During some periods of time dinner was served in the atrium by the fire heath and later on the meals would take place in the cosier and larger areas such as cenaculum (dinner room). Obviously nowadays wining and dining out is a little  less elaborate….

The Rezidor Hotel Group announces Park Inn Sheffield, UK

The Rezidor Hotel Group announces a further Park Inn hotel in the UK: The Hotel Bristol, Sheffield will be rebranded as Park Inn Sheffield, effective November 2007. Rezidor already operates the hotel since August 15, and will transform it according to Park Inn standards during the coming months. The hotel features 111 rooms – between 2007 and 2009 Rezidor will open 20.000 new rooms in total.

SKL Create the Right Ambience at Dragon Hotel

A wide selection of light fittings from SKL have been installed throughout the newly refurbished Dragon Hotel in Swansea. Specified by Pentangle Design Group, Hitchin, who were responsible for the overall design, the lighting was essential in creating the right ambience, so different types of luminaire were selected to achieve the effects required in the design scheme for each area.

IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) have recently announced that Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts has recently added two properties to its collection of eight upscale hotels in Southern California at Fullerton and San Diego. With the addition of the two conversion properties, Crowne Plaza offers more than 3,200 upscale hotel rooms in the area.

Four Points by Sheraton: Announce Three New Hotels for Tibet and China

Four Points by Sheraton is picking up even more momentum in Asia Pacific, announcing three new hotels in the region. In a noteworthy first, Four Points by Sheraton recently announced plans for its first hotel in Tibet, known as the "Roof of the World" for its high elevations. Four Points by Sheraton is also opening two new hotels in China - Four Points by Sheraton Lianyungang and Four Points by Sheraton Sanya Bay. Mykonos Grand Hotel and Resort Refurbished

Seven years after MKV Design completed the interiors of the then brand new Mykonos Grand Hotel & Resort, the company has just put the finishing touches to a soft refurbishment, gently re-interpreting its original schemes.
