Cow Parade 2006 Stampedes Through Denver

Over 100 cows are now grazing throughout Denver in celebration of Cow Parade 2006.  The Cow Parade is the world’s largest display of life-size fiberglass cows, transformed into innovative works of art.  From mosaic to whimsical, brightly painted cows, many forms and styles of art are conveyed in this fun and unusual community art project.  All of the pieces are decorated by local artists, funded by local business.  The event is free, and it is the first and only Cow Parade to hit the streets of Denver.  The heifers will be on display until October 18, after which they will go up for auction.  Interested in checking out the parade?  Book a weekend getaway at the Oxford, stroll through the streets of downtown Denver, and enjoy the scenery before the cows are sent to auction.
